Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce to BUILD solid relationships and provide quality services which SUPPORT chamber members and businesses, in order to DRIVE the economic vitality of our community.

History

The Irwindale Community was first settled by the families of Gregorio Fraijo and Fecundo Ayon during the 1850s. The children were many; generation after generation stayed on the land; and now there are seven generations of native Irwindale residents descended from the two families.

Our Vision

To be the premier Chamber of Commerce, leading the way for others. The Irwindale Chamber: Provides programs and services that enhance and promote a thriving local economy. Provide connection opportunities, programs, key legislative information for businesses throughout the Irwindale region.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is made up of 16 cornerstone representatives who are elected by the general membership. Board terms are limited to three 2-year terms. Board members represent businesses from sole proprietors to large national corporations. The Irwindale Chamber board is ethnically and nationally diverse, and gender balanced. Our diverse and balanced composition allows us to develop inclusive and politically correct policies and strategies that bring greater impact for the business community at large.

Cornerstone Club

The Cornerstone Club was created to prominently recognize businesses whose continual support has been instrumental in the growth of the Irwindale business community through the Chamber of Commerce. Cornerstone Club members receive expanded visibility throughout the year by prominent inclusion in the Chamber's e-newsletter, website, and business directory and at events. Cornerstone members also have the opportunities to be publicly recognized as tiered sponsors for choice events, such as golf tournaments and legislative luncheons.

Business Ambassadors

The MISSION of the BUSINESS AMBASSADORS is to connect and strengthen business relationships, communicate chamber benefits, bring exposure to its members and help businesses reach their ultimate goals.

Ambassadors actively reach out to member businesses via joint business visits with city staff and chamber staff to gather input and to provide direct support and technical assistance. From their close engagement with members, ambassadors select the chamber’s business of the month. They also volunteer at chamber events throughout the year. Overall, Ambassadors enhance communication between the chamber and member businesses, which in turn strengthens the Chamber’s image in the community.

Nonprofit Alliance

Started in 2015, this committee brings together member nonprofits throughout the region. The Alliance promotes a spirit of partnership between the for-profit and non-profit sectors by presenting engagement opportunities that benefit both sectors. The Nonprofit Alliance is highlighted at the end of each year by allowing members to present their mission and solicit partnership and donation for the following calendar year.
